Attribute Groups

The Attribute Group is a set/collection of many Attributes which can be applied to rules.

To access the attribute groups, navigate to the left menu bar and click “Central Services” then “Data Management” and then “Attribute Groups”. From here you can view all attribute groups created.

An attribute group will have a collection of attributes that hold information about each attribute.

When creating a new Attribute group, there won’t be any fields populated within it. Attributes can be added by pressing the “+” button at the top of the page.

Adding an Attribute​

To add a new attribute group, navigate to the “+” button on the attribute group page.

After the “+” button is clicked, a popup to add an attribute group will appear.

Fill in the following information to add an attribute group:

  • Name: Name of the attribute

Once complete, press submit to confirm the addition.

To add an attribute to an attribute group, navigate to the “+” button on the chosen attribute page.

From here you can fill in the following fields to add an attribute:

From top to Bottom:

  • Attribute Group: The group to which the attribute belongs.

  • Attribute Name: The actual name of the attribute.

  • Attribute Enum: The actual name of the attribute.

  • Attribute Description: A short description of what the attribute is all about.

  • Attribute Classification: Whether the data is Corporate, Employee, Financial or Personal.

  • Attribute Sensitivity: How sensitive the Data is - Highly Restricted, Internal, Public or Restricted.

  • Attribute DataType: The data type to which the attribute belongs whether it is Date, Decimal, Integer, String, Boolean or Timestamp

  • Maximum Field Length

  • Attribute Type: Drop down box of type of attribute (Email / Phone Number / IP Address).

  • Substitute Group: A specific set from which a substitute name can be selected for the attribute.

  • Default Data Subject Type: Requires Additional Approval

Editing an Attribute​

To edit an attribute, navigate to the row of the chosen attribute and click the pencil icon on the right. From here you can edit any of the following fields.
