Rule Pack Overview

As all central services, the Rule Packs are applied to both APIgator and Datagator.

Rule packs allow you to set rules for all your data regardless of which application you are using and define how you want your data to be accessed.

To access all your rule packs, first sign into the eXate portal (eXate Portal ) by navigating to the sign up on the top right of the page and using the credentials you received from a member of the eXate team.

Once signed in, you can access all your Rule Packs by going to “Central Services” on the left menu bar and then clicking on “Rule Packs”.

Viewing a Rule Pack​

To view an existing rule pack navigate to the Rule Packs page under Central Services to view any existing Rule Pack. From here you can click on any pack to either edit, add, view and delete rules inside that rule pack and edit the name and description.

Creating a Rule Pack​

To create a new rule pack, navigate to the “+” button on the rule pack page. This will provide you with a pop-up that requires you to input the “Name” and “Description” to get started.

With the rule pack created, you can now create individual rules within that rule pack that you can customize to your needs.

Fill in the following fields to create a new rule pack:

  • Name: The name of the rule pack

  • Description: Description of the rule pack

Editing a Rule Pack​

All existing rules inside of a Rule Pack can be edited at any time by selecting the “pencil” icon. Attributes, Departments, Claims and Purpose of Use can then be amended by using the relevant buttons. All edits can then be submitted for approval, saved as well as discarded if needed.
