Protecting Data at Rest

Datagator™ by eXate provides production datasets for accurate testing purposes, automates the privacy requirements, and eliminates the risks. It protects data at rest, in a database. This is an Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solution that protects large amounts of data (up to petabytes) being moved from a source to a target. Datagator supports a variety of databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.) as well as files (csv, fixed width, multiple delimiters).

The Datagator menu on the eXate platform contains database and folder/file configurations on which the user can apply the relevant data protection techniques via eXate ETL tooling. To access it you need to navigate to the eXate portal, and press the “Datagator” option on the left-hand menu bar. From there you will be able to navigate to the “Database Configuration”, “File Configuration” and “Job Monitor”.
